Transferring itunes sogs and licences to external HDD

Hi guys, I'm a bit new to this , so be kind. I'm transferring all iTunes related files to a HDD as my pc is full. Once transferred can I delete from my pc those same files?

Yes, if they’ve been backed up to a separate drive.
